Suffolk County's Second Squad detectives are investigating an assault in Huntington in which two women were beaten by another woman and a group of men, police said.
Police Tuesday released photographs and video and said they were interested in talking to witnesses, including a man who helped one of the victims and a cabdriver who might have seen the assault.
One victim had a broken nose and lacerations to the face, and the other a concussion, police said. The two were attacked around 3:25 a.m. near the front of Little Vincent's Pizza at 329 New York Ave.
According to a news release, the two victims began arguing with another woman, who was with a group of three or four men.
That woman -- described as about 5-foot-4, between 160 and 190 pounds, wearing a peach- or orange-colored shirt and with her hair in a ponytail -- punched both of the victims, police said.
The release also said one of the men struck one of the victims in the face.
After assaulting the two women, the female suspect and her male companions fled south on New York Avenue, police said.
One of the men involved in the assault was seen videotaping it, police said.
