Police seek man who faked ID to cash check
Police are looking for a man who cashed a $4,500 check using a false identity at a Babylon bank in September.
The incident occurred Sept. 26 at a Capital One Bank branch on Montauk Highway near Little East Neck Road.
Suffolk County police said the man walked into the bank and redeemed a check, drawn on a Capital One Bank account belonging to the victim of an identity theft and forgery, according to police.
Police are asking anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS. All calls will remain anonymous and callers are eligible for a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest.
