Second Squad detectives are looking for a man who stole $5,000 and credit cards from a vehicle parked in a lot at a Melville hotel earlier this month, Suffolk County police said.

On July 1, police said a man took the money and credit cards from a vehicle parked at the Marriott Hotel on Walt Whitman Road.

He later used the stolen credit cards to "purchase several thousand dollars in televisions and assorted electronics" at a Sears store in Massapequa and a Target in Bay Shore, police said in a release. Video surveillance recorded the man at the Target store, police said.

Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers, 800-220-8477. All calls will be kept confidential.
