The Fourth Precinct crime section is searching for a man who stole more than $500 worth of Prilosec, an over-the-counter antacid medicine, from a Commack department store in January, Suffolk County police said Tuesday.

On Jan. 22 at about 9 p.m., an unknown man entered the Target store at 98 Veterans Memorial Hwy. and stole Prilosec, police said in a crime alert.

Police have released a photograph of the suspect taken from video surveillance. They said the suspect "put the packages into an empty tampon container and left the store through the front entrance without paying for the merchandise. The suspect was last seen getting into a large white box truck and fled the parking lot."

Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at 800-220-8477. All calls will be kept confidential.
