Third Squad detectives are looking for a woman who stole 12 portable hard drives from a west Bay Shore department store in late July, Suffolk County police said Tuesday.
Police issued a crime alert on the July 26 incident, in which a woman entered the Target store at 838 Sunrise Hwy. and placed the hard drives in a garbage pail.
The woman then covered the merchandise with a package of toilet paper before leaving the store without paying, police said.
The crime alert also included surveillance photographs of the woman.
Police did not provide the value of the stolen hard drives.
