Suffolk County police are searching for a man they said robbed a Wachovia bank brank in Lake Ronkonkoma in July.

Police said the robbery occurred on July 16 at 4:03 p.m. The man, wearing black dress pants, a black shirt, sunglasses and a striped tie, walked into the bank, handed the teller a demand note - and fled with cash.

Police said the robber, who they believe was between 5-foot-5 and 5-foot-9, may have fled as a passenger in a red pickup truck with a gray stripe on the side and a cap on the cargo section of the truck.

Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential and the caller will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest.
