Suffolk County police are looking for a man who used a handgun to rob a Port Jefferson Station bank earlier this month, its major-case team said.

On Aug. 6 at about 5:19 p.m., the man entered the Bank of America, 911 Route 112, and demanded cash from the branch manager. He showed the manager a handgun, according to a release, and was given an undetermined amount of cash.

The suspect, who was recorded on surveillance video, then left using the bank's rear door, police said.

Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers, 800-220-8477. All callers will remain anonymous.
