He didn't get cash. And, presumably, he didn't get Cookie Puss, Fudgie the Whale or even a bunch of Flying Saucers.
Now, Suffolk County police are asking the public's help locating a man who last month tried to rob a Carvel on Patchogue Road in Port Jefferson Station.
The attempted robbery occurred on Sept. 15 at 4:25 p.m.
Police said the suspect, described as being between 5-foot-8 and 5-foot-10 with a medium build and facial hair, entered the store and demanded cash. But, police said, when the employee did not comply, the suspect fled empty-handed.
Police ask anyone with information about the suspect or the robbery attempt to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
