Two hurt in Jericho Turnpike crash in Commack, police say

Two people suffered minor injuries in a two-car crash Wednesday morning at a Commack intersection, police said.
Suffolk County police said the crash at Jericho Turnpike and Wyandanch Boulevard occurred at 7:50 a.m.
Firefighters from the Commack Fire Department and crew from Commack Volunteer Ambulance also responded to the scene. One person was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital, the other to St. Catherine’s in Smithtown, police said. The extent of any injuries was not known.
Jericho Turnpike was closed for about one hour between Cornell Drive and Siracusa Boulevard.
