She went in for a haircut and color, police said, then left the salon without paying.

Now, authorities are searching for the woman with the purple-tattooed eyebrows -- and asking the public's help in identifying her.

The woman was captured on video surveillance at Sola Salons on West Jericho Turnpike in Huntington Station. Suffolk County police said she'd gone there for a haircut and hair-coloring at about 7:20 p.m. Oct. 13, then left without paying.

The woman is described as being in her 50s. Police said she has tattooed eyebrows and spoke with an accent.

Police are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
