A 30-year-old woman was seriously injured in one-car crash late Tuesday in Farmingville, Suffolk County police said.

The crash occurred on Portion Road at 11:45 p.m.

Police said the woman, whose identity was not released, collided with a utility pole -- and was pinned in the vehicle. She was extricated by volunteers from the Farmingville Fire Department, police said, before being taken to Stony Brook University Hospital. She was admitted in serious condition.

Police said the cause of the crash is under investigation.
