Port Jeff Sta. man seriously injured in motorcycle crash

A 21-year-old man was seriously injured, but is expected to survive, after a Monday night crash in which his motorcycle collided with a car on Route 112 in Coram, police said.
Matthew Bock, of Port Jefferson Station, was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries after the crash at 9:15 p.m. at the intersection of Route 112 and Sagamore Hills Drive, Suffolk County police said. The driver of the car, identified by police as Anthony Tufariello, 66, of Copiague, was not injured.
Police said Bock was headed southbound on his 2007 Yamaha when the motorcycle collided with the 2011 Toyota Camry driven by Tufariello, who tried to make a left turn onto Sagamore Hills Drive.
Tufariello was issued a ticket for driving with an expired registration, police said.
Both vehicles were impounded for safety checks.
