Suffolk Sixth Squad detectives are investigating a crash that killed a pedestrian in Port Jefferson Station on Thursday night, authorities said.

Gerard Hamill, 63, of Queens was attempting to cross Nesconset Highway when he was struck by a 2019 Honda driven by Kevin Henry at about 7:39 p.m., Suffolk County police said.

A 2013 Volkswagen driven by Jessica Blydenburgh then struck Hamill. The man was pronounced dead on the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner, police said.

Henry, 30, of Port Jefferson Station, and Blydenburgh, 42, of Miller Place, were not injured.

Both vehicles were impounded for a safety check.
