NOT IDLE AFTER 'IDOL.' Dix Hills "American Idol" contestant Bryce Garcia, who was eliminated on Wednesday's episode, tells Newsday he's ready to try again. The 2010 graduate of Half Hollow Hills High School West is now at Syracuse University as a television, radio and film major. His plans? "Just hang out in college and get good grades, sing with my a cappella group and get ready for next year!"
NO REPUBLICAN RUMBA. Former presidential hopefuls Michele Bachmann and Herman Cain will not be joining "Dancing With the Stars." The Minnesota congresswoman wrote on her website that "the recent rumors are false. I will not be joining 'Dancing With the Stars.' " Cain's spokeswoman told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution that while the show's producers had approached the businessman, "he can't dance in an eight-count. He can only dance in a nine-count," a joking reference to his "9-9-9" tax plan.
PREMIERES. Joining VH1's "Basketball Wives" for its Season Four premiere Monday night at 8 are Kenya Howard Bell, who is divorcing ex-Golden State Warriors guard Charlie Bell after being arrested on charges of stabbing him with a box cutter; and Kesha Ni'Cole Nichols, who got left at the altar by former New Jersey Nets player Richard Jefferson in 2009 . . . Bethenny Frankel's back on Bravo for Season Three of "Bethenny Ever After," Monday night at 9.
