Repairman burned in accident at Holtsville building

An elevator repairman suffered burns to his face and arms Wednesday afternoon when he was shocked while working on an electrical box at a Holtsville building, police said.

The accident occurred at 755 Waverly Ave., across the street from Sequoya Middle School. It was not on school grounds as police had initially reported.

The 31-year-old victim was taken to Stony Brook University Medical Center. His condition was not considered life threatening, police said.
