A woman was transported to a local hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation after an accidental fire in the living room of her co-op in North Patchogue Thursday night, Suffolk County police said.

The fire at the co-op on Glen Hollow Drive near Wilson Avenue was reported at 9:30 p.m., police said.

Police could not immediately say how the fire was started, but said it was accidental and arson investigators were not sent to the scene.

The female resident, whose name was not released, was taken to a hospital for treatment. Police said the fire was contained to one unit.

There were no other reported injuries.
