Eight people -- including a Farmingville man and his adult son -- have been arrested on charges of operating a drug ring that reached from Brooklyn to Suffolk County.

Richard Bruno Sr., 59, and his son Richard Bruno Jr., 26, of Holbrook, were among those arrested earlier this month, according to a news release from the Suffolk district attorney's office Sunday night.

Suffolk District Attorney Thomas Spota is scheduled to announce the indictments of the eight accused drug dealers Monday morning after the indictments are unsealed.

Authorities said Bruno Jr. and "his crew of resellers allegedly dealt heroin and cocaine in Westhampton, Selden, Centereach, Stony Brook and Babylon Town." The elder Bruno stored much of the heroin in the attic of his Farmingville home, according to the district attorney's announcement.

The arrests followed an investigation by the district attorney's Heroin Task Force and New York State Police investigators. Authorities seized 19,000 glassine envelopes of heroin packaged for street sale, assault-style semi-automatic weapons and a defaced handgun from the eight individuals.

Bruno Jr., and alleged heroin reseller Bryan Koppelman, 32, of Selden, and Jonathon Rincon, 26, the Suffolk network's accused Brooklyn supplier, all remain held with bail set at $1.5 million each, officials said. Bruno Sr. was held with bail set at $100,000 bond or $50,000 cash.
