Motorcyclist killed in Ridge crash

A motorcyclist was killed in a crash early Thursday afternoon in Ridge, police said.
Kodi Zwolinski, 26, of Ridge, was driving a Suzuki motorcycle eastbound on Middle Country Road, just east of William Floyd Parkway, when it rear-ended a 2001 Ford pickup about 12:20 p.m., Suffolk County police said.
Zwolinski was taken to Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead, where he was pronounced dead, police said. The driver of the pickup wasn't hurt.
Both vehicles were impounded for safety checks.
Suffolk County Police Seventh Squad detectives were investigating the crash, which temporarily closed Middle Country Road in both directions.
