Riverhead man charged with DWI
A Riverhead man was arrested on charges of driving while intoxicated, Southampton Town police said.
John Mungin, 56, was driving a 1992 Nissan pickup on Peconic Avenue in Riverside on Tuesday when he was stopped for an equipment violation, police said.
Further investigation revealed Mungin was intoxicated, according to police.
Mungin was held overnight. Arraignment details were not immediately available.
