To allow for entrance ramp work, some single travel lanes of the Robert Moses Causeway in Islip Town are being closed Monday to Friday during overnight as well as off-peak daytime hours, the state Department of Transportation said.

The closures, which are in the vicinity of Sunrise and Montauk highways, run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., weather permitting, and are expected to continue for the next four to six weeks, the DOT said.

To avoid possible delays, motorists are advised to find alternate routes.
