Roberto Clemente Park pool reopens

The Town of Islip reopened the Roberto Clemente Park pool Saturday after six years of closure. Budget cuts in 2012, the discovery of contaminated debris in the park in 2014, severe damage to the pool and a cold and snowy late winter and early spring this year led to the delays in the reopening, officials said.  Credit: Newsday / David Olson
