A Queens man died after his vehicle ran off the road and crashed into a tree Saturday morning in Rocky Point, Suffolk County police said.

Thomas Farley, 25, of Astoria, was driving a 2010 Toyota Corolla north on Rocky Point Yaphank Road, north of Whiskey Road, when the car crossed over into the southbound lanes and hit the tree around 8 a.m., a police spokeswoman said.

Farley, the lone occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The road was closed in both directions south of Rocky Point High School to Whiskey Road for several hours Saturday morning and has since reopened, police said.

Seventh Squad detectives are investigating, police said. Anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to call the Seventh Squad at 631-852-8752.
