A Westbury man was struck and killed as he tried to cross Route 110 in East Farmingdale Tuesday, Suffolk police said.

Ralph Alexandre, 36, was running across the road when he was hit by a 2020 Nissan Pathfinder headed north on the road near Smith Street around 4:50 a.m. Tuesday, police said.

Alexandre, of Oliver Avenue, was pronounced dead at the scene. The SUV driver, Jeremie Jean, 52, of Amityville, was not hurt, police said in a statement.

The Pathfinder was impounded for a safety check, police said.
