Southbound Route 110 in North Amityville was reopened Tuesday after it was shut down for more than two hours when a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle, Suffolk police said.

Police initially believed the pedestrian was critically injured after being hit near Lindy Avenue about 7:20 p.m. but later determined the injuries were not serious. The road reopened about 9:45 p.m., authorities said.

No criminality has been found in the crash, police said. Other details were not immediately available.
