Route 110 was closed for three hours in both directions in Huntington Station, near the scene where a man was found unresponsive at about 2:45 p.m., Suffolk police said Wednesday.

The man was taken to Huntington Hospital, where he died. Police did not release his name and other details, but said it did not appear any criminality was involved.

Southbound and northbound lanes of Route 110 were closed near West Pulaski Road and Ninth Street as police investigated the scene, an agency spokesman said.
