Suffolk County police are investigating a crash in South Huntington that left a pedestrian dead on Thursday.

An unidentified woman was struck by two vehicles while crossing Route 110, from west to east, near Livingston Street about 9:30 p.m., police said. The victim was crossing while the vehicles, traveling north, had a green light, according to police. She was struck by a 2016 BMW and then by a 2009 Nissan.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner. Southbound Route 110 across from Walt Whitman Shops was temporarily shut down after the crash, but reopened by about 12:45 a.m. Friday, police said.

The drivers of the vehicles were not injured, police said. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Second Squad at 631-854-8252.
