A serious morning rush-hour crash left three injured and closed Commack Road Thursday in Commack, police said.

The driver of one car in the two-vehicle crash, a 19-year-old woman, was airlifted to Stony Brook University Medical Center, Suffolk County police said. The extent of her injuries and her condition were not immediately known Thursday.

Two others involved in the crash were transported to area hospitals, police said.

The crash occurred at 6:41 a.m. Police said the 19-year-old, driving a Nissan Altima southbound on Commack Road, was struck by a northbound pickup truck making a left onto Hauppauge Road. Southbound Commack Road remains closed for investigation - and police said at 9 a.m. it is unclear how long the road will remain closed.
