Sayville bank robbed, say police
A Sayville bank was robbed Monday by a man who handed a teller a note demanding money, Suffolk police said.
The man entered Capital One Bank, 160 Main St., about 3:40 p.m., police said, left with the money and headed west on Main Street.
He was wearing a long-sleeved shirt, shorts, knee-high socks, dark sunglasses and a fedora-style hat.
Investigators asked that anyone with information about the crime call Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS.
