The Riverhead Foundation for Marine Research & Preservation released a rehabilitated seal at Ponquogue Beach in Hampton Bays on Thursday. The female gray seal pup named Vanilla Bean is about 6 months old and was rescued from a beach in Babylon, where it was lethargic and underweight when found.
