Lan Huynh Truong charged in hit-and-run that killed Victoria Hutson, of Selden, police say

Suffolk police on Thursday charged a man in connection with the hit-and-run that killed a pedestrian in Selden on Wednesday.
Lan Huynh Truong, 44, of Selden, was charged with leaving the scene of an accident. He was being held at the Sixth Precinct and was scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Thursday, police said
The pedestrian, Victoria Hutson, of Selden, was hit while walking on the shoulder in front of a Boyle Road residence. Police said she was struck by a 2016 Toyota Camry that continued north on Boyle Road at 11:21 a.m.
Hutson was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
