Representatives from Suffolk County's police and civil service departments will offer a free informational seminar Feb. 17 on becoming a police officer.

The 7 p.m. seminar at the Wyandanch Public Library, 14 South 20th St., is providing information about the hiring process to become a Suffolk County police officer, according to a Monday morning police news release.

Those interested in taking the June 11 police entrance examination are urged to preregister at joinscpd.com by March 31. Registration for the seminar is not required.
