One person was seriously injured in a Holtsville crash that involved three vehicles on southbound Nicolls Road, Suffolk police said.

According to police, Mykel Wylie, 18, of Main Street, Riverhead, was driving his 2002 Hyundai Elantra with two passengers westbound on the north Service Road of the Long Island Expressway when he went onto the southbound Nicolls Road ramp at about 2:50 p.m. Wylie lost control of the Hyundai, which then slid onto southbound Nicolls Road and was struck by a 2001 Mack Truck, police said.

The Hyundai then struck a 2013 Nissan Rogue traveling southbound on Nicolls Road, police said.

Wylie and his front seat passenger, Jeremy Bornstein, 17, of Deane Street, Wading River, were taken to Stony Brook University Hospital where they were being treated for non-life threatening injuries.

A third person in the Hyundai, Alex Roytman, 19, of 16th Street, Wading River, was also taken to Stony Brook where he is being treated for serious injuries.

The driver of the Nissan Rogue, Jeanne Macchio, 32, of Burleigh Drive, Holbrook, was also taken to Stony Brook, treated for minor injuries and released. The driver of the Mack Truck, Richard Gago, 44, of Van Buren Street, Brentwood, was not injured, police said.
