Setauket man dies when Jeep flips in West Babylon crash, cops say
A Setauket man was killed when the Jeep he was driving collided with another vehicle and flipped over on Sunrise Highway in West Babylon, Suffolk County police said Thursday.
Alfred Bayard, 53, was pronounced dead at the scene, at Hubbards Path, after the accident at about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, police said.
Bayard was eastbound on Sunrise Highway when he collided with a Dodge Ram traveling in the same direction, police said.
The driver of the Dodge, Nicole Limbach, 25, of Ronkonkoma, was treated for minor injuries at Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip, police said.
Police said the cause of the crash was under investigation and asked anyone with information to call the First Squad at 631-854-8152.
