Several injured in Shirley accident
A Dodge Ram pickup truck slammed into a tree Saturday morning on Sunrise Highway in Shirley, leaving multiple people injured, according to Suffolk County police.
The crash happened at 9:43 a.m. near William Floyd Parkway.
Eastbound Sunrise Highway was closed at the parkway, Exit 58, according to the state Department of Transportation website.
Police are investigating and did not immediately have more details.
