Suffolk County police are looking for two gunmen who shot and wounded two other men on Bancroft Road in North Bay Shore on Wednesday night.

A police spokeswoman said the two victims, 19 and 24, were standing on the street at about 9:45 p.m. when they were approached by the two gunmen.

The shooters fired an unknown number of rounds, wounding each man, the spokeswoman said.

The victims drove themselves to the hospital, she said.

One victim, the 19-year-old, was admitted and scheduled to have surgery on his arm.

The other was treated and released, she said.
