Silver Alert for woman missing in Commack

A Silver Alert has been issued for Volden Chung, 72, an out-of-state visitor who has dementia and was last seen in Commack, Suffolk police said.
The woman was at her sister-in-law's Commack home on Fruitwood Lane about 4:30 p.m. Friday and is believed to have left on foot, police said.
She was wearing a red jacket and yellow, collared shirt atop woolen pants with a plaid pattern in red, black and gray, police said. She also had on black sneakers and a Texas Hospital tag on her wrist, police said.
Chung is 5 feet tall, 110 pounds with brown eyes and black hair.
Detectives asking anyone with information to contact the Fugitive/Missing Persons Section at 631-852-6040.
The Silver Alert allows law enforcement to share information with the media about missing individuals with special needs.
