Police have issued a Silver Alert for a Wyandanch woman with dementia.

Barbara Hunter, 74, of South 31st Street, was last seen at 12:30 p.m. Sunday on Parkway Boulevard in Wyandanch, driving a gray 2004 Hyundai XG with New York license plate ASF7976, Suffolk County police said.

In the alert made public early Monday, police described Hunter as black, 5 feet, 2 inches tall and about 120 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes.

“Hunter was wearing a gray coat, beige pants and black shoes,” when last seen, police said.

First Squad detectives urge anyone with information about her whereabouts to call 911 or 631-854-8145.

Silver alert is a program “that allows local law enforcement to share information with media outlets about individuals with special needs who have gone missing,” according to police.
