Small brush fire breaks out on Shelter Island
The Shelter Island Fire Department said it sent an engine company Thursday morning to put out a brush fire at Manhanset Road and Cobbets Lane in Shelter Island Heights.
"It was one engine putting water on the brush," a department spokesman said.
The size of the brush fire or how it started were not known Thursday afternoon.
