Landing gear on a Beech C-24 aircraft collapsed during a landing Tuesday at Long Island MacArthur Airport in Ronkonkoma, Federal Aviation Administration officials said.
Neither the pilot nor a passenger on the plane were injured, according to an airport spokesman.
The plane, registered to James J. Lyons, of Farmingville, was attempting to land on runway 6 at about 11:12 a.m. when the single-engine plane's right landing gear malfunctioned.
The incident didn't cause any disruptions to airport operations, the spokesman said.
The fixed-wing aircraft was manufactured in 1976, according to the FAA.
