Town offering teen anger management classes

The Smithtown Youth Bureau will offer teen anger management classes starting Jan. 11.
The free classes, intended for youths ages 13 to 17, are to help develop anger management skills and strategies to deal with anger and frustration in a constructive way.
Topics will include self-talk, assertiveness skills, anger triggers, relaxation methods, self-monitoring of anger levels and conflict resolution.
Classes are free and run Wednesdays from 4 to 5 p.m. through Feb. 8 at the Youth Bureau Center Community Room, 161 E. Main St. in Smithtown. Students must register by Jan. 3. To register, call Janine Marc-Anthony, Youth Bureau Community Relations Assistant, at 631-360-7595 or youthb@tosgov.com.
