Southampton holding lottery for 15 affordable homes
Southampton Town will host a lottery open to community members looking to purchase one of 15 affordable homes in the town’s new Southampton Pointe community.
The Village Green Drive condominium town houses feature two bedrooms and 1 1⁄2 bathrooms and are available to those who meet income requirements.
A resident must earn less than 120 percent of the median area income as established by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, which is $140,050 for a family of four, to be eligible.
Households earning 80 percent of the area median income, which is $93,350 for a family of four, are eligible to purchase the units for $233,375. Households earning 120 percent of area median income can purchase the homes for $350,125.
The homes are being offered through a partnership among the town, Fairfield Southampton LLC and the Long Island Housing Partnership

The lottery is set for 3 p.m. Oct. 25 at Southampton Town Hall, 116 Hampton Rd.
