Southampton man charged in gunpoint home invasion
A Southampton man was arrested Thursday in connection with an armed home invasion more than six months ago in the North Sea section of Southampton, police said.
Daniel W. Claud Jr., 19, is charged with first-degree robbery, first-degree burglary and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
Police said the home invasion occurred on Oct. 16. Claud held the occupants of the home at gunpoint and robbed them of cash, according to Southampton Town police said. The victims were not injured.
Claud was arraigned Friday at Southampton Justice Court and held on $500,000 bail.
