A Southampton man arrested during the weekend was charged with drunken driving and a violation of Leandra's Law because a 15-year-old girl was among his passengers, police said.

State Police said Alexi Cesteneon, 19, of 167 N. Mecox Rd., was charged with aggravated DWI with a child under 16 in the vehicle - Leandra's Law - as well as DWI, endangering the welfare of a child and several vehicle and traffic violations.

Arraignment details were not immediately available.

Police said Cesteneon was stopped at 2:27 a.m. Saturday on the westbound side of County Route 39 in Southampton, just east of Tuckahoe Road.

He had a .10 blood-alcohol content, police said. There were three other passengers in the car in addition to the 15-year-old.

Leandra's Law is named for Leandra Rosado, 11, who was killed last fall in a crash on the Henry Hudson Parkway.

The driver, a friend's mother who was taking a van full of girls to a sleepover, was allegedly driving drunk, according to police. Gov. David A. Paterson signed legislation in November making it a felony to drive drunk with any child under 16 in the vehicle.
