Southampton police look for missing man

Southampton Town police said they’re searching for a 22-year-old autistic man who went missing Saturday night after he took off his clothes and fled into the woods in Shinnecock Hills.
Jacob Goldfarb, 22, of Tuckahoe was last seen by friends running into the woods on Saturday at about 7:39 p.m., Sgt. Howard Kalb said. He has not been sighted since, although his clothing was found later.
Kalb said Goldfarb left his car in Shinnecock Hills.
Kalb described Goldfarb as 5’6” and 170 pounds, with light brown hair and brown eyes. He said Goldfarb has autism, but is “high-functioning.”
Police have been searching the woods with canines and helicopters, and bay constables were searching the surrounding waters, Kalb said.
A man who answered the phone at the Goldfarb residence on Sunday said he had no comment.
