A Hampton Bays man arrested Saturday night was drunk, driving "erratically" in a stolen car and attempted to flee, police said Sunday.

Jason Capazzola, 38, was driving eastbound on Route 25 in Southold when another motorist called police to report he was driving erratically, Southold police said. Police tried to stop Capazzola's car, but he "attempted to flee," onto Blossom Lane, which is a dead end. Police stopped the car shortly after 7 p.m., determined Capazzola was intoxicated and arrested him, according to a news release.

The vehicle he was driving had been stolen from Jamesport, police said.

Capazzola faces charges of DWI and felony possession of stolen property.
