SPCA seeks information in cat's death in Shirley
The Suffolk County SPCA is trying to find information about a cat found dead in a shopping cart in Shirley.
The animal protection group said in a Friday news release the cat was found propped up in a sitting position in a shopping cart near the Coastal gas station on William Floyd Parkway in Shirley.
Chief Roy Gross said the animal found with blunt-force trauma to the side of its head.
Anyone with information can call the Suffolk County SPCA at 631-382-7722. All calls will be kept confidential.
