Two masked men, each armed with a handgun, robbed a convenience store in Port Jefferson Station early Wednesday, stealing cash before fleeing, Suffolk County police said.
The armed robbery took place at the Speedy Mart on Route 112 just after midnight, police said. No one was injured.
Police said the two men — one, wearing a red hoodie; the other, wearing a gray hoodie and blue shorts with a white stripe — entered the store, confronted the lone clerk and demanded cash. Police said the clerk complied, handing over an unspecified amount of money before the two robbers fled on foot.
The clerk then called his boss, who called 911 at 12:15 a.m., according to police.
Police said Sixth Squad detectives are investigating the robbery, but said no arrests have been made.
