Tea party angst about GOP congressional candidate Randy Altschuler lingers after the St. James millionaire conceded to Rep. Tim Bishop (D-Southampton). Videographer Jacques Ditte of Hampton Bays posted on the Suffolk County Liberty Report's website a September cease-and-desist letter he sent Team Altschuler demanding it remove from a local TV ad footage of Bishop's infamous 2009 town hall meeting that Ditte shot. Ditte, who worked for Altschuler's GOP primary opponent Chris Cox, wrote with no small degree of glee of Altschuler's defeat. "It's amusing to think that had Mr. Altschuler's anti-Bishop commercial aired, it could have potentially swayed 300 votes in his favor, giving him the election," Ditte wrote. "Unfortunately, when he took what he could not buy, he got caught."
