Storms may bring heavy rain, hail

The National Weather Service posted a severe thunderstorm watch for Long Island on Friday afternoon, saying large hail, damaging winds and heavy rain were possible.
The watch, which lasts until 9 p.m., covers Nassau, Suffolk and all of New York City, as well as several upstate counties.
Friday's high would be near 82, the agency said.
Saturday will likely be mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 84.
Sunday will be sunny with a high near 82.
