Shaun L. McKay, who was nearly passed over for Suffolk County Community College president, may get $230,000 for his first year as the college's top official. That's $15,000 more than Shirley Robinson Pippins made as president when she left last year. McKay, as acting executive vice president, was paid $159,000 annually as of last month. A search was reopened after two finalists quit and it was disclosed McKay twice declared bankruptcy. College trustees vote Thursday on the appointment, which also needs SUNY trustees' approval.
